WWE Money in the Bank: CM Punk, Christian, John Cena & Randy Orton GET RAW

June 23rd, 2011 Geno

By Kevin Nelson

This week’s edition of RAW took place in Baltimore, Maryland, with the episode titled: “Power to the People.” The people decide the matches. The program began with CM Punk insulting the fans by telling them that their selections are going to suck and even went so far as to suggest that it doesn’t matter what the anonymous RAW GM does because he is going to face John Cena for the title in his hometown of Chicago at Money in the Bank.

The RAW GM said that he would have to beat Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a triple threat match in order to be the number one contender.(Here I thought the people decided the matches?). The next match was for the chance to face Brie Bella for the WWE woman’s title. The fans selected Kelly Kelly and were not disappointed as she would win the woman’s title for her very first reign.

The following match was decided as Mason Ryan captured the majority of votes for the right to face Evan Bourne beating out Sin Cara and Jack Swagger. He would not disappoint as he displayed his awesome power in defeating Evan Bourne. (I can’t help but feel the voting is rigged…Mason Ryan over Sin Cara? Are you kidding?).

The next match was an arm wrestling match with Kane vs. Mark Henry. Kane would win after Mark Henry would body slam him through the announcer’s table.

Smackdown GM, Teddy Long, after having to hear the complaints of Christian, The Miz and R Truth, he decided to arrange a 6 man tag as the three just mentioned would face John Cena, Alex Riley and Randy Orton.

The next match was a two out of three falls match as new US Champion Dolph Ziggler faced former champ Koffi Kingston in a two out of three match. As the match was even, Ziggler would punch Kingston with the microphone and get disqualified thus losing the two out of three matches but keeping his US Title.

The following match was the triple threat match with CM Punk facing Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a falls count anywhere match voted on by the fans. CM Punk would deliver and get the victory and saying that his WWE contract is expiring and at the Money in the Bank PPV, he will defeat John Cena and walk away from the WWE.

Next up was Daniel Bryan facing Cody Rhodes in a no count out match. Bryan was victorious but suffered from the wrath of Rhodes and Dibiase.

The following was a dance competition as Michael Cole defeated Vicki Guerrero in a dance- off.

Next week it was announced that the RAW Roulette would be taking place and Shawn Michaels hosting raw. The main event was up as Christian, R Truth and The Miz were set to face John Cena, Alex Riley and Randy Orton in an elimination match voted on by the fans. The first eliminated was Alex Riley followed by Miz and Rtruth leaving Christian all by himself. Orton who would hit Christian with the RKO and Cena would lock on the stfu for the victory.
