Caylee Anthony: WILL THERE BE JUSTICE?
On June 16, 2008, the world would lose a child named Caylee Marie Anthony, a 2 year old normal kid that was taken from her family. Her skeletal remains were discovered on December 11, 2008, six months after she was reported missing by her grandmother, Cindy Anthony.
Casey, Caylee’s mother was charged and was just found not guilty of the murder, so what does that mean for young Caylee and her memory? Is this a case of a person getting away with murder, a terrible and tragic accident, or a third party that has yet to be found? Whatever the case is, the lack of closure in the case is heartbreaking.
Being a father, I cannot imagine the pain that a family would go through with the loss of a child, but even more so to have the death go unsolved. I am hoping that the right verdict was read today and that Casey was innocent of the murder of her daughter, although the majority seems to think that she just got away with murder due to the sympathy that the Defense was able to get for their client.
Nothing is worse than the death of a child, and although the Anthony family may have gotten what they had hoped for today, this story is not at its end. There is still the hope that young Caylee will get justice.
