Casey Anthony: NANCY GRACE DEADLY WORDS

By Geno McGahee

The trial is over and the verdict is in. Casey Anthony, in the eyes of the 12 jurors in Florida, is not guilty and will be released from prison on July 17th, but it has left many that have followed the case with an empty feeling. There was a level of certainty from the media that Casey would go away for a long time for the murder of her daughter, led by HLN host, Nancy Grace.

Grace has mentioned her disgust with the verdict and the backgrounds of the jurors and how they wouldn’t have helped the state no matter what the facts may be. Apparently some of the jury had some brushes with the law, but it seems that Grace is grasping at straws and looking for a reason why the jury couldn’t have seen the guilt of the accused.

Casey’s behavior seems to be the biggest sign of something wrong. When her daughter was “missing,” she was out partying and going on shopping sprees, totally oblivious to the fact that her daughter was missing. She went missing for 31 days before she was reported missing by Cindy Anthony, Casey’s mother.

That sparked the investigation, the multiple lies by Casey and her eventual arrest and trial, and she was found guilty of providing false information to law enforcement officers, but not guilty of the first degree murder charge.

Forging on is Grace, still analyzing the case and pushing the issue: Casey is guilty. I recently saw a video where a crying woman was saying that karma would get Casey and thank god for Nancy Grace. Nancy has a die-hard following and some of these people are not stable. The question has to be, how much is enough? Is Grace creating a scenario where Casey could be killed by one of these nuts that are not willing to wait for karma to strike?

Nancy Grace has every right to have her show and say whatever it is that she wants, and even if a follower of hers does the unthinkable and kills Casey Anthony, she cannot be blamed, but there does seem to be a terrible feeling surrounding the case and the verdict. There is the sense that a dark cloud is lingering over the entire Anthony family and they will be the focus of the public for some time.

In the end, Grace says what she feels and is an expert in law and knows the case, but she also knows how to generate ratings and a fight for an innocent doesn’t bring the people in like the quest to fry a murderer. Expect Grace to continue to rant and rave for some time to come with Casey as the center of discussion.
