Tyson Fury Overcomes Dereck Chisora: Boxing Results

By Samaarah Choubak (At Ringside)

A taller man, a double win, and the sky is the limit for young Tyson Fury as he challenged Dereck Chisora and won both titles by fighting exceptionally well in Wembley London at the “Big Brawl” on Saturday night. This was the first time both fighters actually went to twelve rounds. There was excitement from the crowds from Manchester and London and was north of the country versus the south of the county affair.

Tyson and his team counted and measured everything correctly and with humor right at the beginning from Fury and great sportsmanship from Chisora even during the fight. This was not enough for him to maintain the belts. There was many times in the fight where Chisora was moved and swayed powerfully by Tyson and there was times where Chisora gave without warning many tremendous earth shattering calamities towards Fury even though some did not land. He almost swung himself off balance at times. However with Fury moving and pushing himself away with his techniques did not take those punches, which of course did not land, even though they were very intense. There was an epic moment in the fight which Chisora deserves to have great credit as all his strength was certainly a match and a real challenge for Fury.

Chisora lost by unanimous decision and considering he did not fight for a little while, he proved that that his training went well and gave everyone a satisfactory show of his boxing skills and professionalism.

I met Frank Warren after the loss of his fighter, Chisora, and he said after the fight: “If Chisora had relaxed a little bit more and was getting winded up by Fury, it might of been different. It’s not the end of the world and both of them have good chins”.

Fury was awarded a unanimous decision with judges’ scores reading 118-111 and 117-112 (twice) all in favor of the Manchester heavyweight.
