Boxing News: Corporate Professionals & 1984 Olympic Boxing Team Come Together at Atlanta Corporate Fight Night

This year’s Atlanta Corporate Fight Night (ACFN3) is scheduled for November 3, 2011 and promises to pack a serious punch for boxing fans. The event brings together Atlanta corporate professionals who will face off in the ring to raise money for charity, and also features the first-ever reunion of the legendary 1984 Olympic boxing team, regarded as the strongest Olympic Boxing Team in history.

“Atlanta Corporate Fight Night offers professionals, whether a lawyer, scientist or accountant, the chance to train for ten weeks and then participate in a sanctioned boxing event,” said promoter/trainer Terri Moss, “Our corporate boxers find it empowering to train and then box in front of their friends and colleagues – and doing it for a good cause is the true win-win.” Terri is also the retired WIBF and WIBA World Champion and Co-Owner of Decatur Boxing Club

The backdrop for the event is a glamorous black tie evening that features the first ever reunion of the 1984 Olympic Boxing Team, organized by Xavier Biggs of Decatur Boxing Club. Evander Holyfield, Pernell Whitaker, Mark Breland, Frank Tate, Virgil Hill, Henry Tillman, Milton McCrory, Tyrell Biggs, Meldrick Taylor, Robert Shannon, Jerry Page and Paul Gonzales are scheduled to appear. The event will take place on November 3, 2011 at 7:30 at The Foundry at Puritan Mill in Atlanta and will feature a private reception with the ’84 team and a live auction of one-of-a-kind boxing memorabilia .
