Boxing News: Bert Cooper Returns to the Ring August 20th

Dee Lee Promotions will present a card on August 20 at Virginia Beach Fieldhouse in Virginia Beach, Virginia, headlined by lightweight Dorin Spivey (38-6, 29 KOs) who takes on Damon Antoine (9-31-2, 4 KOs) in an eight-rounder. Spivey hasn’t fought in his hometown in a year so he’s hoping this welcome home bout will remind local fight fans that he’s still chasing a crown.

The just added co-main on this nine-bout card features a blast from the past in “Smokin’” Bert Cooper (38-23, 31 KOs), who takes on Travis Kauffman (21-1, 16 KOs) in an interesting heavyweight clash.
Virginia Beach Field fans will be pleased to hear local favorite light middleweight Frankie “The Freight Train” Filippone (7-2, 2 KOs) will return to action on this card. Filippone thrilled the hometown fans with his bloody 6 round victory on the last Dee Lee card on June 25th, 2011.

Also, returning for this card are lightweight Joey Tiberi (5-1, 4 KOs) and heavyweight Dorset Barnwell (4-0, 3 KOs).
