Boxing News: David Rodriguez – Byron Polley Face Off October 15th

Unbeaten heavyweight David “Nino” Rodriguez (35-0, 33 KOs), of El Paso, will face Byron “The Bear” Polley (24-12, 11 KOs), of St. Joseph, Missouri, in a WBC Fecombox title defense in the main event of the Oct. 15 “Battle at the Ballpark” card, it was announced at yesterday’s opening press conference in El Paso. Polley has dropped four of his last five bout – all by knockout. The card also features former amateur star Jennifer Han, Albuquerque’s Raymond Montes vs. veteran Evaristo Primero; Oscar Valenzuela vs. Carlos Villa; Jo-Jo Galarza vs. David Castillo; Joe Sullivan and Eric Reza.
