Wladimir Klitschko – Jean Marc Mormeck: Boxing News

By Geno McGahee

RSR was just contacted by a very reliable source close to the Klitschko camp and was informed that the current WBA/IBF/IBO/WBO Heavyweight Champion, Wladimir Klitschko, 56-3, 49 KO’s, will be defending those titles against former cruiserweight champion turned heavyweight, Jean Marc Mormeck, 36-4, 22 KO’s. The fight will most likely take place in Germany and will be at the end of the year or beginning of 2012. The specifics are being ironed out now, but we are told that Mormeck, the #9 contender in the WBA, #12 in the IBF, and #13 in the WBO is the choice for the next defense.

Mormeck has lost to David Haye by stoppage and O’Neil Bell as well by stoppage. He was given a gift decision over Fres Oquendo and struggled with Vinny Maddalone. This is an easy title defense for Klitschko, if this fight should materialize, which seems to be the case.
