Casey Anthony & Amanda Knox: GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER

There are a lot of comparisons being made lately between the “Tot Mom” Casey Anthony and Amanda Knox, two women that were accused of murder and two women that were freed. Now, we have some publications, possibly in the spirit of Halloween, comparing them to Lizzie Borden.

Borden was accused of murder and freed like the other two, and most believe her to be guilty, like the other two, although there has been a celebration going on with much of the public with the release of Knox. Most would bet their houses that Casey is guilty and they are not so sold on Knox.

What has helped the public’s feelings is that Knox was tried overseas and there are plenty of stories of Americans being screwed over when they travel and get into some trouble. Casey doesn’t have that in her corner.

Anthony’s court case was the most heavily publicized in history, and it drew the largest reaction, arguably bigger than the OJ Simpson case. The death of her 2 year old daughter Caylee hit home with a lot of parents, especially those that watch Nancy Grace regularly. Casey was seen as a cold and selfish killer, but the jury saw her differently and she was found not guilty.

Casey Anthony and Amanda Knox will both be the subject of speculation. The difference is that most of America seems convinced that Anthony is a killer and the majority aren’t so sure about Knox. Whatever the case, these two stories will be hot news for some time to come.
