Breaking Boxing News: Edner Cherry Returns to Ring on April 14th

Former world title challenger Edner “Cherry Bomb” Cherry headlines this week’s Telefutura card from Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois. Cherry (29-6-2, 16 KOs) will meet Juan Carlos Martinez (19-13-1, 7 KOs) the 10 round main event. This will be Cherry’s second outing in less than two months. He is riding a five fight (4 KOs) win streak, since losing a title bid against Timothy Bradley, most recently an eight round unanimous decision over Guillermo Sanchez on February 24th. “Edner is spot-on,” said Cherry’s trainer, Tony Morgan. We’ve had great sparring and spent the last five weeks working on sharpening and refining his skills. He’s on-weight and, as always, in great condition.”
