By Geno McGahee

Former WCW wrestling star, Marcus “Buff” Bagwell, 42, was in a major automobile accident on Monday night. It is believed that he suffered a seizure at the wheel, which caused him to flip his Jeep and reportedly, break his neck, an injury that he has had in the past. There are also reports that he has broken bones in his face and jaw as well. It was a traumatic event.

At this time, Bagwell is sedated due to his injuries, but the hope is that he will make a full recovery. Bagwell was a star in WCW before it went out of business, shining during the highest period of popularity, becoming a part of the N.W.O, which was led by Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.

He would suffer a broken neck when Rick Steiner attempted to do a bulldog from the top rope, but would land incorrectly, driving the forehead of Bagwell into the shoulder of Steiner. His career was considered over after that injury, but he would return and wrestle again.

Buff Bagwell survived the crash and may not wrestle again, but the hope is that he will overcome this traumatic event and proceed with a normal life.
