San Diego linebacker, Junior Seau, 43, was found dead of an apparent suicide. The report is that Seau has killed himself in his California home. A 911 call from his girlfriend at 9:35 AM, led the police to discover the body and handgun in the area.

Seau died of a gunshot wound to his chest. This is a shocking an unexpected death. From the outside looking in, he had everything to live for. He had spent 20 seasons in the NFL, playing for San Diego, Miami, and New England.

Speculation regarding domestic problems has been rampant with the announcement of his death, but the reason why he elected to take his own life is still unknown. More details are certainly to come in the near future.
