Jorge Arce Wins AGAIN – Juan Carlos Sanchez ELECTRIFIES in VICTORY – Breaking Boxing News

IBF super flyweight Juan Carlos “Zurdito” Sanchez Jr (15-1-1, 8 KOs) retained his title for the second time with a ninth round KO against Rodel Mayol (31-6-2, 22 KOs) on Saturday night at the Gimnasio Polifuncional in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. Sanchez took over in the seventh round and nearly dropped Mayol in the eighth before finishing him spectacularly in the ninth. Mayol was counted out by referee Allen Huggins at 2:25 after being blasted through the ropes.

Multi-division world champion Jorge Arce (64-6-2, 46 KOs) scored a one-sided ten round unanimous decision over former world champion Mauricio Martinez (36-13-1, 24 KOs) in a featherweight bout. As always, Arce was ready to brawl, however Martinez was unwilling to engage. Scores were 99-90, 99-90, 97-92.
