Promoter Eddie Hearn says that talks over a possible Brit blockbuster between welterweight Kell Brook and former jr welterweight champion Amir Khan have begun. The unbeaten Brook faces an IBF welterweight world title eliminator on October 20 against Argentine Hector Saldivia in Sheffield, England, and Khan returns to action on December 15 against Carlos Molina in Los Angeles. “I spoke with Khan’s team a month or so ago and again after their appearance on Ringside (Sky Sports), it’s certainly a fight that can be made,” said Hearn. “It’s too big to be ignored and it’s only a matter of time before the public virtually insist on Brook vs Khan happening.”
