Labyrinth Legends – CREAT STUDIOS ANNOUNCES ART CONTEST WINNERS – VIDEO GAME NEWS

Creat Studios, premier digital download publisher and developer of online, console and mobile games, today announced their grand prize winner and runner up of their recent fan art contest. The debut fan art contest supported the current release of PlayStation®Network action-adventure game Labyrinth Legends.

Lucy Anne Lowe, a character artist based in Manchester, U.K., landed the grand prize prize for her whimsical depiction of a scene from Mushroom Wars, while Andrew Resnick, a masters student in game design demonstrated his art chops with a unique take on Labyrinth Legends.

Fans of Creat Studios’ PlayStation®Network releases were invited to create original art based on any of the studio’s line-up of thirteen games. Lowe and Resnick have won all thirteen PlayStation®Network game titles, includingLabyrinth Legends. Their winning art will be featured on the Creat Studios web site, blog and Facebook page through the month of January, 2013.

“We are pleased to have had a strong response to our first-ever fan art contest,” said Scott Hyman, VP of Publishing of Creat Studios Inc. “Announcing our winners is great way to kick off the new year, and to highlight the terrific early responses and reviews we have received for Labyrinth Legends.”

Labyrinth Legends is receiving strong reviews from both consumers and games press for its tight gameplay, vivid graphics, intuitive controls and a high level of fun! Fans have been so enthusiastic, they’re demanding a port to Vita as soon as possible!  An addictive arcade action-adventure dungeon crawler,Labyrinth Legends features tricky puzzles and concealed traps in catacombs and ancient tombs of lost civilizations. Labyrinth Legends includes PlayStation® Trophy support, costs $9.99 to purchase and is rated “T” for Teen.

Robert Workman, online games journalist for GamerHub.tv, states, “Labyrinth Legends has neat 16-bit style graphics melded in with interesting character design and enemies that really pop out of the screen.  The lighting effects are rather cool.”  You can read Workman’s full review online:http://www.gamerhub.tv/reviews/labyrinth-legends-brings-old-school-dungeon-crawling-back/?page=2 .

Robert Allen with Tech-Gaming.com adds, “Labyrinth Legends  doesn’t have to rely on cultural references to ensnare a player’s attention. Instead, the game’s dungeons take center stage, delivering a pleasing mix of puzzles, action, as well as the scarce collectable item capable of augmenting the abilities of the lead character.” Check out Allen’s complete review online:http://www.tech-gaming.com/?p=7335.
