Benson Henderson, Rampage Jackson, Chael Sonnen & More – UFC BREAKING NEWS

UFC on FOX follows up last month’s much anticipated lightweight champion clash between 2012 UFC Fighter of the Year Benson Henderson and No. 1 contender Nate Diaz with yet another exciting title defense. The sixth installment of FOX UFC SATURDAY is highlighted by Demetrious Johnson’s first title defense in the flyweight division against top contender John Dodson. The Johnson versus Dodson main event is preceded by three thrilling matchups airing live in primetime Saturday, Jan. 26 (8:00 PM ET) from the United Center in Chicago.

FOX Sports Media Group’s FOX Sports, FUEL TV, FOX Deportes, FOXSports.com and FOX Sports Radio get fans primed for an outstanding quadruple-header of fights on the broadcast network with preliminary bouts airing on FX.

Prior to the title fight, FOX Sports features former UFC champion Rampage Jackson against red hot light heavyweight fighter Glover Teixeira; former WEC champion Anthony Pettis taking on Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone the winner of which could get a title shot at lightweight champion Benson Henderson; and Erik Koch returning from injury to face Chicago native Ricardo Lamas in the featherweight division.

UFC announcers Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan call all bouts on FOX Sports with the preliminary matches airing live on FX. Beginning at 5:00 PM ET, host Jon Anik and analysts UFC light heavyweight contender Chael Sonnen and bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz offer analysis for the preliminary bouts on FX. When coverage shifts to FOX at 8:00 PM ET, host Curt Menefee is joined by Brian Stann and Sonnen to preview and breakdown the main event’s bouts. Both shows originate LIVE on-site from the United Center in Chicago. Additionally, preliminary bouts and the main card fights air live on FSMG’s Spanish language network FOX Deportes. UFC announcer Larry Pepe hosts all matches for FOX Sports Radio.

FSMG’s coverage of FOX UFC SATURDAY begins Saturday, Jan. 19 (5:00 PM ET) on FOX Sports with UFC’s ROAD TO THE OCTAGON, an hour-long special that goes behind-the-scenes and inside the lives and training camps of UFC fighters as they ready themselves for their upcoming bouts on the network. On Tuesday, Jan. 22 (8:00 PM ET) FX premieres a two-hour special edition of THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER. In Tuesday’s premiere, 28 middleweights arrive in Las Vegas with their friends and family hoping for a shot at a UFC contract. UFC President Dana White brings in this season’s special coaches Chael Sonnen and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones to evaluate the winners of 14 Elimination Fights.

Immediately following THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER premiere on FX, FUEL TV airs UFC TONIGHT (10:00 PM ET), an official news and information show then caps off the evening with UFC ULTIMATE INSIDER (10:30 PM ET), a 30-minute program going behind-the-scenes to deliver an insightful preview into the World Flyweight Championship fight between Johnson and Dodson.

On Friday, Jan. 25 (5:00 PM ET) FUEL TV carries the weigh-in LIVE from the Chicago Theater in Chicago and immediately following FOX UFC SATURDAY on Saturday, Jan. 26, FUEL TV offers live postfight coverage. Both programs are hosted by Anik with Sonnen and Cruz adding analysis. Three-time MMA Journalist of the Year Ariel Helwani interviews fighters backstage.

At 11:00 PM ET on Saturday, Jan. 26, FOX broadcasts a special edited edition of Tuesday’s THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER premiere. In the week leading up to fight night from Chicago, FSMG’s digital arm, FOXSports.com, features extended coverage of UFC on FOX fighters, highlighted by a look at the matchup between Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis, a preview of the featured bout between Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson as well as coverage of the weigh-in, press conferences and the main event Saturday night.
