John Cena WWE SHOCKER: Randy Orton, CM Punk, Triple H & More – MAJOR WWE UPDATE

By Dani Mitchell

WWE had high expectations it had to meet after last week’s RAW. Last week Dolph Ziggler finally cashed in his Money in The Bank contract to become World Heavyweight Champion, the crowd was incredible, and the whole show in generally outshined WrestleMania. However, I’m not sure RAW lived up to these expectations this week.

The show started with The Viper’s music, and I thought to myself, this is it. Orton is kicking off RAW… and this will be his heel turn. I was wrong. Instead it was a two on one handicap match with Orton and Sheamus vs. Big Show. Orton and Sheamus were able to secure the win when Orton hit a DDT off the top rope and a RKO to get the pin. No big news, no heel turn. This could have been the time to do it. WWE universe is use to faces getting a win, and then turning on their partners. I doubt I was the only person hoping for this.

Kofi Kingston was able to win the US Championship from Cesaro. Although I think Kingston is very talented and happy to see him with a belt around his weight. I am completely disgusted with how WWE has used Cesaro. Both Kingston and Cesaro have suffered injustice from WWE and in all this I feel bad for Kingston, I imagine they will job him week after week just like they did to Antonio. We will see what the future holds for these two talents.

Next 3MB decided to step up to the plate and call out The Shield. I don’t know where the WWE plans to take the Shield next, but the gimmick is getting old if they don’t find a significant use for them. They need a legit feud. After 3MB called them out, the crowd was waiting for their music to hit but instead you heard Brock Lesnar come out. He came to the ring and completely destroyed the 3MB. After hitting the F-5 on Slater and kept going. The crowd began chanting… “One More Time”. Apparently Slater is not a crowd favorite. Heyman got the beast under control and in the ring where they called out a challenge to Triple H. A rematch at Extreme Rules PPV. This is supposed to be an old school cage match. I imagine this is going to be only by pinfall or submission, not the whole whoever escapes first; so this match is probably going to bloody and brutal.

Our new WHC Ziggler came out to brag about his win but was interrupted by an injured Del Rio who wanted his rematch. Unfortunately for Del Rio, Swagger came down to the ring and completely destroyed him. The rematch will have to wait.

Daniel Bryan and Kane will have a match next week that is pretty exciting. Undertaker will join the tag team champions to face The Shield. But on Raw they faced The Primetime Players. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind who was going to win. Although the PTP are charismatic and do have talent, the WWE obviously uses them as jobbers, and with Bryan and Kane in a big match next week, this was just an easy going match. Bryan secured the win after a flying head-butt.

Ryback shot a promo here he explained why he turned on Cena. Yawn. It is clear that Ryback could never give this promo in the ring without having the words right in front of him. He is not that kind of wrestler that can talk off the cuff and would be able to be spontaneous if he forgot a line. Let’s get real, he chants “Feed Me More” and that’s about all he can handle in front of a live crowd. Anyways, his reasoning is Cena turned his back on him while he was getting attacked by the Shield week after week. Boo Hoo. This just made Ryback seem like a crybaby. I was not impressed.

Wade Barrett, Intercontinental Champ, lost to R-Truth. That’s all I have to say about that. Some guy in the front row through his hands up in frustration. I sympathize with that guy. WWE champions apparently are the new jobbers of the company.

Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes fought Great Khali and Santino. It would have been bad for team Rhodes Scholars to lose this match, luckily while Santino was distracted when Hornswaggle tried to use his Cobra on Rhodes, Sandow rolled up on Santino for the win. I would like to see Rhodes Scholars get to the top. They have it and it all just depends what goes on the next few weeks and what the WWE has in store for team Hell No.

Ziggler did get a match last night, Against Swagger. But as I said early… WWE champions are the new Jobbers and he lost. Ziggler might be a champion but I guess they will continue to underutilize him. I guess Mr. “WEED the people” is still going to get his push.

Punk finally came to the ring. With sad eyes and disappointment written all over his face. I knew as soon as I saw him, the WWE world is going to compare this to: Shawn Michaels lost his Smile. That is exactly the same feel you got from the speech. The Best in the World spoke and talked about not knowing where to go next. Which is what most of us were wondering too. Right now there is nothing for him, no feud to start, and no storyline fresh for him to enter. Punk said, “After battling the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, where do you go? And I looked to the one thing that could possibly be bigger than the championship that I loved…and that was taking on the streak at WrestleMania.” After losing at WrestleMania he is at a crossroads and hopefully they will have something fresh for him soon. Punk Left the ring mid-thought and that was it. Punk will be taking time off. I am not sure how much time, but WWE will be taking a huge hit if they lose him for too long. He’s the biggest heel they have right now, and without him, things are going to get stale. Quick.

Until next time my fellow heels.
