WWE Financial SHOCKER: $10,000 Smackers — “Now That’s a Lot of Cupcakes!”

WWE (NYSE: WWE) announced today that it has awarded a $10,000 scholarship to Allison Iliev, a Full Sail University student, as part of its ongoing partnership with Full Sail. The partnership provides students at the University an opportunity to gain real-world experience producing WWE’s weekly NXT® program.

The scholarship will be applied toward Iliev’s studies in the Creative Writing for Entertainment Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Program. WWE Executive Vice President, Talent and Live Events, Paul Levesque and Full Sail University President Garry Jones presented the scholarship, on behalf of WWE, in a ceremony that kicked-off the latest taping of WWE NXT at Full Sail Live.

WWE selected Iliev to receive this scholarship for exhibiting exceptional professionalism and creative talent, while shadowing WWE staff and crew during the production of NXT at the University, as well as maintaining good academic standing.

“WWE’s commitment to education is unmatched,” said Full Sail University President Garry Jones. “This partnership has yielded many extraordinary experiences for our students and helped to enrich our hands-on educational approach.”

“It’s a real honor to be recognized by WWE,” said winner Allison Iliev. “WWE is where I aspire to be when I graduate.”

“We are pleased to award this WWE scholarship to Allison Iliev, a very deserving student with a bright future,” said WWE Executive Vice President, Talent and Live Events, Paul Levesque. “The unique partnership between WWE and Full Sail is helping build WWE’s next generation of talent, both in the ring and behind-the-scenes.”

In May 2012, WWE and Full Sail University announced a collaborative partnership that moved the live tapings of WWE NXT to the University’s state-of-the-art performance venue, Full Sail Live. Full Sail University students, staff, faculty and the general public have been invited to attend the live tapings on the campus, with proceeds benefiting the scholarship fund. On September 20, 2012, the first WWE scholarship was awarded to Full Sail University student Geraldo Gutierrez.
