Demetrious Johnson Vs John Moraga: UFC SHOWDOWN ON FOX– Breaking MMA News

Following UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson’s third successful title defense on FOXin April, FOXUFC SATURDAY returns to the Key Arena in Seattlewith a title bout featuring UFC flyweight champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson (17-2-1) against No. 1 contender John Moraga (13-1-0).  Johnson’s first title defense took place during the network’s UFC card this past January, where he beat John Dodson in a five-round unanimous decision. The Johnson vs. Moragamain event is preceded by three thrilling matchups airing LIVE in primetime Saturday, July 27 (8:00 PM ET) onFOX.  

FOXSports,FUELTV,FOXDeportes, FOXSports.com andFOXSports Radio get fans primed for an outstanding quadruple header of fights on the broadcast network and three hours of preliminary bouts airing on FX. 

Prior to the title fight,FOXSports features Canadian phenom Rory MacDonald (14-1-0) against knockout artist Jake Ellenberger (29-6-0) in a clash of welterweight contenders, and “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (20-9-0, 1NC) battles Bobby Voelker (24-9-0) in another 170-pound matchup. Plus, U.S. Marine Corps veteran Liz Carmouche (7-3-0) tackles talented newcomer Jessica Andrade (9-2-0).

Coverage of FOXUFC SATURDAY begins Tuesday, July 23 (10:00 PM ET) whenFUEL TV airs UFC TONIGHT (10:00 PM ET), the official news and information show of the UFC, with hosts Kenny Florian and Chael Sonnen breaking downFOX UFC Saturday’s biggest fights. The evening caps off with UFC ULTIMATE INSIDER (10:30 PM ET), a 30-minute program going behind-the-scenes to deliver an insightful preview into the World Flyweight Championship fight between Johnson and Moraga, with segments on Moraga, Ellenberger, Carmouche and Andrade.

On Friday, July 26 (7:00 PM ET)FUEL TV carries the weigh-in LIVE from theSeattle. The program is hosted on-site by Anik, with Sonnen and Stann adding analysis. Three-timeMMA Journalist of the Year Ariel Helwani interviews fighters backstage.
