Deontay Wilder DESTROYS Sergei Liakhovich in 1 Minute 43 Seconds – BOXING NEWS

It was supposed to be a test for the powerhouse, but Deontay Wilder, 29-0, 29 KO’s, showed that it was business as usual with a destructive first round knockout of former WBO heavyweight champion, Sergei Liakhovich, 25-6, 16 KO’s. Liakhovich started with some jabs, but was caught with a looping left hook, followed by a right hand that sent him to the floor, convulsing. It was as impressive and scary a knockout I’ve seen in years.

Wilder is proving that slow and steady may win the race as he makes his way to better competition. Liakhovich was a proven commodity. He usually goes rounds but not this time. Wilder is on the fast track to the title.
