Call of Duty: Black Ops II Tournament – VIDEO GAME NEWS & UPDATE

Play N Trade is inviting all gamers in the area to compete local rounds of Call of Duty: Black Ops II tournament on August 17th.  The regional rounds are battled out on August 24th and the international final rounds will be August 25th.  Registration is now open for this international tournament with an entry fee of $10.00 and will take place at participating Play N Trade’s around the world.

Play N Trade stores were developed with tournaments in mind as they provide a competitive gaming atmosphere for both the casual and hard core gamer. Stores have several interactive gaming stations that allow for multiple head to head competitions simultaneously and one of the reasons Skullcandy chose to partner with Play N Trade.

“We have always been a large supporter of tournaments.  It’s one of the best ways to engage our customers and truly show the capabilities of our gaming headsets. Play N Trade’s tournament settings and multiple gaming stations provide an ideal way to reach the gaming audience,” states Gernard Feril, Global Category Manager for Skullcandy.

The tournament is a free-for-all format in store competition. The winners from the Local Rounds will advance to the Call of Duty: Black Ops II International Rounds.

The First Place Grand Prize package for the “Call of Duty: Black Ops II tournament” includes $500 cash,  a Skullcandy Plyr 1 Wireless Headset, a GamerModz custom controller, a copy of Call of Duty Ghost, a case of NOS energy drink, and a variety of performance snacks from Gamer Grub. Second place winner receives $300 cash and the prizes mentioned above from Skullcandy, GamerModz, and COD: Ghost, NOS and Gamer Grub.  Third and Fourth place contestants win a $100 and will receive all products mentioned above.  The better you play the better the cash!

“Our in store tournaments are always exciting events,” says Eddie Ortega, Tournament Director of Play N Trade. “Video game competitions are a fast growing sector of this industry, and have become excellent spectator events. With the incoming next generation of consoles including the PS4 and Xbox One right around the corner, there is a renewed interest in all things video games.”

“GamerModz is another exciting addition to the Play N Trade tournament series” states Sr. Director of Sales & Marketing, Jim Habig. “The ability to customize your controller with over a thousand combinations of colors and patterns has really energized our customer base. Play N Trade and GamerModz have partnered up to offer their customers an interactive design kiosk right in the store with many of the combinations offered right there for assembly.”

Any person under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent form in order to participate in an M (Mature) rated game. For more information and rules visit your local Play N Trade store or www.playntradetournaments.com.
