Orlando Salido, 40-12-2, 27 KO’s, took the fight to Orlando Cruz, 20-3-1, 10 KO’s, chasing him around the ring and using a consistent body attack to slow him down and eventually pummel him to the floor in round seven. The fight looked like a poor man’s Julio Cesar Chavez – Hector Camacho match, and it was very entertaining. The back story about Cruz being gay was a selling point that was beaten to death, but he did attempt to prove that he belonged in the ring. He wasn’t strong enough to keep Salido off and eventually crumbled.

Salido is a beast in the ring and looked very good once again. It was a great win and a dominant victory.
