The Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) returns to Australia for UFC FIGHT NIGHT: HUNT vs. BIGFOOT live on FOX Sports 1 on Friday, Dec. 6 (9:00 PM ET) with a meeting of heavyweight contenders guaranteed to produce fireworks. Hometown hero Mark Hunt (9-8) defends his turf against Brazilian powerhouse and No. 4-ranked Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (18-5) in the headlining bout.
The three-hour main card also features light heavyweight superstar Shogun Rua (21-8) facing New Zealand’s James Te Huna (18-6), light heavyweight Ryan Bader (16-4) battling Anthony Perosh (14-7), heavyweight Pat Barry (8-6) fighting Soa Palelei (19-3), Dylan Andrews (18-5, 1NC) mixing it up with Clint Hester (8-3) in a middleweight bout and women’s bantamweight Julie Kedzie (16-12) taking on Bethe Correia (6-0). Jon Anik and Kenny Florian call the matchups from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia. Víctor Dávila and Erik Perez call the fights on FOX Deportes.
On Friday, the UFC FIGHT NIGHT PREFIGHT SHOW kicks off the action at 6:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 2, with former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans and multiple-division title contender Chael Sonnen working as analysts, just three weeks after their recent fight at UFC 167. Veteran combat sports journalist Karyn Bryant hosts the show, with Heidi Androl reporting live from Australia.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS begin on FOX Sports 2 at 7:00 PM ET with four fights, featuring No. 10-ranked bantamweight Takeya Mizugaki (18-7-2) versus Nam Phan (18-12).
