Keith Thurman KNOCKS OUT Jesus Soto Karass – SHOWTIME BOXING RESULTS

Keith Thurman, 22-0, 20 KO’s, sent a big message to the welterweight division by knocking out Jesus Soto Karass, 28-9-3, 18 KO’s, in the ninth round. In the first round, Thurman tried to test Soto Karass but got caught with a right hand and stunned, but he got his composure back and began to out-box his opponent and picked his shots. The slow-footed Soto Karass tried courageously to slow down Thurman with body shots and get some things done, but he took a vicious beating and it all caught up with him.

In the ninth round, Thurman unloaded and pummeled him to the floor. The referee jumped in and stopped it to save the courageous fighter. Thurman noted that he is “destroying the welterweight division” and there are some great fights for him, including Timothy Bradley, Floyd Mayweather, JR., Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao, Adrien Broner, Marcos Maidana, and Shawn Porter to name just a few. The division is alive and well and Thurman is one of the main players.
