Marcos Maidana CHEATED: PILL POPPER – Adrien Broner Decision Reversed – BOXING NEWS

The controversy surrounding the corner work of Marcos Maidana in the Adrien Broner fight has led to an investigation. The contention is that Maidana was slipped something after the 11th round by corner man, Alex Ariza, and Broner is reportedly pushing this idea. It’s not surprising. Broner’s defeat derailed a potential PPV run with millions of dollars to be made. If this loss is erased, he could potentially be back on track.

It doesn’t help Maidana that his stable mate, Brandon Rios, tested positive for a banned substance after his fight with Manny Pacquiao. This doesn’t mean that Maidana and his camp are guilty of anything, but it has helped push some unwanted focus on the camp.

The Maidana – Broner fight was great for boxing. It was an amazing fight that showed the heart and abilities of both men. If this investigation turns up anything illegal, that will truly be a shame. Stay tuned for more details…
