David Lemieux KNOCKS OUT Fernando Guerrero in Canada: Middleweight Powerhouse was In It to Win It – SHOWTIME BOXING RESULTS

By Geno McGahee

The Canadian power-punching middleweight, David Lemieux, 32-2, 30 KO’s, came out aggressively and destroyed Fernando Guerrero, 26-3, 19 KO’s, via third round stoppage. A left hook in the first round dropped Guerrero and a cut would be opened in round two. A vicious uppercut would drop him for the last time in the third round.

The middleweight division has a lot of talent and Lemieux was all but forgotten after a great start in the sport. He has put together seven straight wins, six by knockout, since his two back-to-back defeats and is an interesting challenger for any of the top ten 160 pounders. He is dangerous and would have a puncher’s chance against anyone in the division. It was a great showcase for Lemieux.
