RSR Boxing Results: Zab Judah Returns with KO
ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights
Zab “Super” Judah, 39-6, 27 KO’s, came back to the junior welterweight division with a 3rd round destruction of Jose Armando Santa Cruz, 28-5, 17 KO’s. Judah looked sharper than he has in a while and used his speed and mobility to confuse and outland Santa Cruz in the opening two rounds. In the third round, Santa Cruz got more aggressive and paid for it when a crushing left uppercut landed on his chin and sent him the floor. He stood up with unsteady legs and Judah pounced, landing with a barrage of punches which convinced the referee to end the fight. Judah’s move down opens up a lot of big fights for him and I would make him a live underdog against Amir Khan or any other light welterweight. He may have turned back the clock with the move down and new attitude.
