Johnny Gonzalez & Jorge Arce HEAT UP – Boxing News

WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez and Jorge “Travieso” Arce faced off Thursday at the final press conference of their mini-tour to promote their historic October 4 showdown at the brand new 8,000 capacity Multipurpose Center in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. Arce is aiming at a world title in a sixth division.

Jhonny Gonzalez: “I respect the championships that Arce has won, his career, his dedication in the ring, but I want to say to him that on October 4, I will come with a preparation and force like never before and will defeat a boxing great in front of his own people. He has the heart of a warrior that has given him key victories in his career, but he’s taken many blows. I’ve faced several opponents with similar characteristics to “Travieso” and for that we prepare ourselves.”

Jorge Arce: “You are welcome to this land of champions Los Mochis, Sinaloa. On October 4 you’ll bring the title and you’ll get well looked after, but you’ll be defeated and leave without the belt because I’ll win. You cannot defeat me in front of my people and all those who have supported me and have made this historic boxing event possible. Winning on October 4, it is the only word that’s in my mind and I will not retire because I will win.”
