Jean Pascal Defeats Chad Dawson

Last night in Canada, WBC Light Heavyweight Champion Jean Pascal, 26-1, 16 KO’s defeated IBO Light Heavyweight Champion “Bad” Chad Dawson, 29-1, 17 KO’s who suffered his first defeat in his boxing career. Pascal, the underdog, going into the fight was clearly the aggressor hurting Dawson on a few occasions throughout the fight. With Dawson clearly down on the scorecards, he came on strong in the 11th round and had Pascal badly hurt, but suffered from an unintentional headbutt that was bad enough for the doctor to come in and stop the fight causing it to go to the scorecards. In the end, through 11 rounds, Pascal was up 108-101, and 106-103 (twice). RSR also had it scored 106-103 for Pascal the WBC Champion who now adds the IBO strap to his collection.
