Juan Manuel Marquez & Timothy Bradley: Manny Pacquiao on the Radar

By Marc Anthony

On Saturday, thousands at the Santa Anita Park had a chance to meet and greet with today’s boxing stars. They were treated to a boxing exhibition from both WBO Light Welterweight Champion Timothy Bradley, 27-0, 11 KO’s, and “Dinamita” Juan Manuel Marquez, 53-5-1, 39 KO’s.

Around noon Bradley was swarmed by fans asking for autographs and pictures. When asked when he will fight Manny Pacquiao, he smiled and said: “It will come; it’s all about the timing” then proceeded to go through a blur of combinations.

Bradley is set to face former WBC lightweight champion Joel Casamayor.

Next up was Juan Manuel Marquez, who is set to face arguably the pound for pound king in Manny Pacquiao, 53-3-2, 38 KO’s, and there was a pro Marquez crowd chanting “Marquez…Marquez”. When the crowd was asked who will win, not missing a beat, Marquez was the instant answer. A young fan next to me said, “I am sticking with Marquez. Styles make fights.” Marquez looked sharp and ready as did Bradley.
