Kevin Nash SHOOT INTERVIEW: Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Monday Night Wars & More – WWE DVD REVIEW

By Geno McGahee

As an old school wrestling fan, I am a huge fan of Kayfabe Commentaries. The latest DVD I watched involved former WWE/WCW Heavyweight Champion, Kevin Nash, with his reflections on the WWE in 1995. The name of the 2-disc set is: “TIMELINE THE HISTORY OF WWE 1995 as told by KEVIN NASH,” and it features over three hours of entertaining conversation with “Big Daddy Cool.”

In 1995, the Monday Night Wars between WWE’s RAW and WCW’s NITRO was just about to begin. Nash discusses the time when he held onto the title, the backstage brawls, and towing the line as the champion.

The Kliq is discussed in great deal as well as the reactions from the other wrestlers of the time. I found it really amusing how Nash answered Doink (Matt Borne) and his comments that Nash didn’t belong in wrestling. Nash is a charismatic guy with a lot to say and he doesn’t hold back. He goes into the Tatanka and Man Mountain Rock incidents as well as the time when Shawn Michaels was jumped at a bar and then slapped around by the Harris brothers.

His insights on Bill Goldberg, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Big Show, Undertaker, and more were incredibly interesting. This shoot interview really flies by. The questions and research done by the team at Kayfabe Commentaries is quite impressive and it brings forth a must own for any wrestling fan, especially those that were fans of that period in the game.

TIMELINE THE HISTORY OF WWE 1995 as told by KEVIN NASH is a great watch. I really enjoyed Kevin Nash’s walk down memory lane and his entertaining way of explaining the world of pro wrestling. I highly recommend this!
