CM Punk Vs Ryback, Vince McMahon & More: WWE DONE DEAL – WWE Update & Monday Night RAW Preview

By Dani Mitchell

Well, it’s going to happen. Monday Night Raw advertisements are pushing Ryback vs. Punk. It’s probably the most frustrating thing I’ve seen in a long time. You will have the master of the mic against “Feed Me More”?

Maybe the WWE will use this time to let Ryback do some talent development. If Ryback comes out though and actually pleads his case about why he doesn’t respect Punk, will the fans back him? He’s a little gimmick heavy. He’s Goldberg 2.0 and with not a lot of experience with real superstars under his belt. He hasn’t beaten anyone that Kane couldn’t. Kane might not be able to walk around the ring with 2 guys on his shoulders, but last time I checked that didn’t establish a wrestler’s career. What a win for Punk though if they two fight!

I don’t see this match happening. I think there will be a lot of buildup followed by a lot of smack talk. Then CM Punk will come out and reiterate everything I just said. He’s going to say that Ryback doesn’t deserve to fight him, he’s the WWE Champion and he doesn’t need to fight him, which I will applaud him if he follows through. Ryback needs to move on and build up his matches.

I don’t know why Ryback gets a push when you have a guy like Wade Barrett back on the roster. Push Barrett. I want to see Barrett vs. Punk matches. Ah, wait. I want a Barrett vs. Punk storyline! Nexus vs. Nexus. I want WWE to get that feud going, then when Hell In a Cell gets here; forget Cena, bring on Barrett! I think the matches could be on the same level as Bryan vs. Punk. They have very similar styles that makes for the most exciting matches. What they could really do is let the whole Nexus old school crew back who they want. Who would back Punk? Anyone?

Okay, end rant.

On to some important news, Monday night, Mr. McMahon is also supposed to address the WWE. This could be the night we say “SO LONG A.J.” Her recent erratic behavior might be the nail in her coffin as GM. Mr. McMahon will probably strut around, tell AJ she has a chance to prove that she can have a smoothly run Monday Night Raw or it’s going to be “YOU’RE FIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRED” If Mr. McMahon fires her, then we are right back where we were not too long ago; Who will be Raw GM?

In light of current developments, it would be in the WWE’s interest to bring in someone … such as, Mick Foley. Let him make some decisions. Would he respect the champ after getting a kick to the gut a few weeks ago? I would like to see what Mick Foley do when he got those gears rolling. Unless he would favor a match up with Ryback, then I am not interested. My guess though is Foley returns, demands Punk vs. Cena at Hell in a Cell this Month.

In other news, the race for No. 1 contenders for the Tag Team Champions is narrowing. It has come down to Mysterio/Sin Cara, Team Rhodes Scholars, The Prime Time Players, and the duo of Santino/Ryder (Who I guess is calling themselves “Team Co-Bro” .. oh, No comment.) I’d be interested in seeing Rhodes Scholars take it and even win the title…but if history repeats itself will Rhodes be able to keep his obsessions with demasking Sin Cara at bay or will he it lose the competition for him and Sandow; fueling a feud between the two?

I’d like to end on this note… BRAVO Antonio Cesaro. You have earned my attention. Any man that can hoist a man the size of Brodus Clay up in the air to perform the neutralizer deserves some attention. I applaud you.

Things will start unfolding tomorrow. Until then children, Keep calm and wrestle on.
