Survivor Series – WWE MAJOR DETAILS RELEASED – CM Punk, Ryback, Mick Foley & More – RAW RESULTS

By Dani Mitchell

The only thing of any real relevance tonight on Raw was the huge announcement for Survivor Series.. Mick Foley came out at the beginning of Raw to have his words with Punk….calling him out if you will. Punk decided that Mick Foley should prove himself so he challenged Foley to Survivor Series! Team Punk vs. Team Foley. Awesome…right? Well I didn’t want to get to excited until they announced their teams.

Meanwhile, John Cena did come out and present a check to Susan G. Komen Foundation for One Million Dollars. (Kudos to WWE for the charity work they do). Also, A.J. Lee was reinstated as a Diva who faced Beth Phoenix. A.J. won, kinda. Vickie came out and didn’t like the result so restarted the match…in which Phoenix won. Then Phoenix was fired. Not a big surprise, as I wrote about it before, Phoenix contract was ending at the end of the month. I just felt it was kind of a dumb way to end her story. Whatever, WWE it’s your diva division…do with it what you will.

So after waiting what seemed like forever, Punk & Heyman came out to announce their team. Heyman chose The Miz, Team Rhodes Scholars, and Alberto Del Rio. Now I agree that there is a ton of potential with Damien Sandow. I understand Cody Rhodes has risen to the occasion before. But the Miz and Alberto Del Rio and have been on a losing streak for a while now and don’t seem to be on the top of their game. I would have chosen Randy Orton and Sheamus for my dream team.

Then, Mick Foley comes out to announce his team. He basically picked everyone that has beaten everyone on Punk’s team in the last month. On Team Foley we have Kofi Kingston, Team Hell No, and Randy Orton. Foley’s team definitely has momentum built up… but maybe Punk’s team is looking for revenge and will run with it.

Punk decided to let Foley know that they plan on taking out his whole team to leave Mick Foley all alone so Punk could take him out himself and teach him about respect…… that is when they could have hit the “not so fast, theirs a twist” music.

Foley announced he will not be wrestling…he will be managing the team so he had one final member to announce…. Ryback. What the HELL. Obviously, Foley is not in wrestling shape per say, but I can’t believe he wasn’t going to get in the Ring to dish out a few blows… and to put Ryback in the position of Revenge is just disappointing. I knew it was going to happen eventually but not for another big show such as Survivor Series… Not until he proved himself worthy of the spot. I was thinking maybe Cena would be making his return for this, not BOREback.

Which led to Ryback coming out…. Team Foley already started beating up on team Punk…in true heel fashion Punk fled the ring, leaving his team to fend for themselves. Not the best way to show team unity… This left Ryback to take his aggression out on poor Cody Rhodes, who got the Shell Shocked finisher.

All in all, the idea that started out amazing, ended with a big WTF. Thank you WWE for ruining my hope of a legend returning to face to the Champ, which would have been a Survivor Series of epic proportions. Team Punk has its work cut out for them. They have a big chip on their shoulders, facing their rivals… Will it be an upset, a massacre, or a bore? We will see. I just hope that it holds more in store for us then Hell in a Cell.
