Pacnuts Need To Pack It In and Admit that Their Idol Manny Pacquiao Made a Big Mistake
Yesterday, I wrote an article titled Manny Pacquiao What Do You See When You Look in the Mirror? As expected, the Pacnuts came out in droves attacking it because they are so use to articles saying how great he is, what a wonderful fighter he is and down right nice guy. Though I agree with these labels, anything that remotely reads that he could just maybe be wrong in taking a fight, and allowing his Promoter to dictate to him to face a known cheater in Antonio “Hands of Plaster” Margarito for the sake of $$$$, causes people to be totally blind to the point. This fight no matter what anyone can say is “Bad For Boxing.”
The point is simple.. Manny is the face of boxing and in the ring, carries himself like a Champion should. No arguments there. However, outside of the ring, he for the sake of nothing more than Greed took a fight with a boxer that didn’t earn nor deserve a title shot let alone a huge payday. In another article on RSR the question was posed to Manny that if it was his brother Bobby Pacquiao who took the beating from Margarito like Miguel Cotto did, would he still give him the opportunity to get this once in a lifetime payday? If you are an honest reader, you will say absolutely not! If you are blinded like a Pacnut is you will tear down anything without really reading what is there and say “Yes, he should!”
In 64 days, a travesty and a huge black eye will come over boxing because of this fight! I don’t care how many 24/7’s which by the way, I love, will make this fight acceptable. Margarito is guilty of cheating, but can you blame him for taking the fight? His career was over until magically the Good ole State of Texas stepped in. Disgusting is what it is!
Manny is not without dirt either. He could have and should have turned this fight down. I don’t blame him one bit for the Mayweather fight falling apart and with Floyd’s recent problems, the only thing he may be facing is jail time! There were other fights out there for Pacquiao and he could have taken a stance that would have sent ripples through the boxing world and only made his Star shine even brighter. Sadly, that did not happen.
On November 13, tune out, go to a movie and show Promoter Bob Arum that you cannot pull a fast one on true boxing fans!
Now let the blind Pacnuts ring in without really reading what is in the fine print of this article!
