Arthur Abraham vs. Carl Froch is Postponed
The all crucial Super Six fight between Arthur Abraham and Carl Froch has been postponed to a later date. The preparations of King Arthur up to now have gone without big problems, however his opponent from England has suffered a back injury according to his promoter Mick Hennessy. This forces the former WBC super middleweight world champion to take a two-week training break. Therefore, the fight originally scheduled for October 2 at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille in Monaco must take place at a later time.
“This is really very unfortunate. The whole world is feverishly awaiting this fight. However, you can’t do anything about injuries, which sometimes come in such a hard sport like boxing,” said Abraham’s Hall of Fame promoter Wilfried Sauerland. “Nevertheless, it’s just postponed not canceled. So Arthur Abraham will just beat “The Cobra” in November or December. We’re working hard on finding a new date.”
The exact date in which the Super Six fight can be fought will be announced as soon as possible. Already purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date.
