LSU Defeats Kentucky – Breaking College Football News

By Debbie Edwards

A Tiger’s roar can paralyze. A researcher named Elizabeth Von Muggenthaler has studied tigers extensively, and discovered that they can even produce sounds below the range of human hearing. Her theory is that the combination of low frequency sounds with the high volume of its roar can paralyze prey. Once paralyzed, the prey becomes the Tigers feast.

Tonight, we saw what Tiger fans hope is the maturing of a cub into a Tiger. That growth could not have come at a better time, as the Tigers will face the 7-0 Ole Miss Rebels with their #1 ranking in the SEC West to Baton Rouge next Saturday.

LSU used a paralyzing combination of a strong running game and excellence on special teams to jump to a 17-3 lead by the end of the first quarter. Tiger Quarterback Anthony Jennings got on the board in the second quarter as he completed a 32 yard touchdown pass to Travin Dural. Terrence Magee added to the mauling in third quarter, scoring on runs of 9 and 23 yards. The rest was strictly lagniappe, as the Tigers defeated the Wildcats by a final score of 41-3.

The Tigers are 6-2, 2-2 in SEC play. Kentucky falls to 5-2, and holds the third spot in the SEC East.
