LSU’s Les Miles Wants More Accountability from Officials – College Football Shocker

LSUBy Debbie Edwards

The LSU Tigers are looking forward to this Saturday night’s game against conference rival Arkansas Razorbacks. LSU is still seething from it’s 20-13 loss in overtime this past Saturday against arch rival Alabama. Les Miles is reported to have spoken to SEC Head of Officials Steve Shaw. In this conversation, Miles voiced his displeasure with Saturday night’s officiating, particularly a personal foul called near the goal line.

LSU went on to tack on a field goal on that drive, but Miles’ irritation stems from the fact that the flow of the game was changed as a result of that penalty. The officials missed the initial action by Alabama’s defensive lineman, but penalized the reaction of LSU’s offensive lineman. LSU (7-3, 4-3) fell to number 20 in both the Coaches and AP polls. Arkansas (4-5, 0-5) is seeking its first conference win as they host the Tigers Saturday night.
