Yes, we all want this headline to be a reality…. Yes, it should have happened back in 2009. Yes, it’s the one fight in the world that non boxing fans even have a clue they would like to see. Yes, yes and yes….. But will it happen? Who the hell knows? I recently did a video interview for RSR at the IMP Boxing Card here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with former WBA Lightweight Champion and TV analyst, Sean O’ Grady, who made a great point when he said, “it would do so much for the sport of the boxing.”

I could not agree more, but like the rest of the boxing community, I am tired of the back and forth bullshit between both sides. The money is there for both of them to make the biggest fight in boxing history even if it is five years past its expiration date.

Pacquiao beat the crap of a huge hearted Chris Algieri just last week and Mayweather, JR. made his night look easy in the rematch against Marcos Maidana not that long ago. So how about this for a novel concept Manny & Floyd…. Fight each other next! Don’t take any tune-ups and do what Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns did back in Sept of 1981.
