“The Greatest” Muhammad Ali was admitted last night to an undisclosed hospital with pneumonia”, his spokesman Bob Gunnell said. “Ali’s treatment prognosis is good”, he said.
“Ali, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, is being treated by his team of doctors and is in stable condition,” Gunnell said in a statement.”The illness was caught early, and Ali, 72, is not expected to be in the hospital long.”
Ali fought professionally from 1960 – 1981 amassing a record of 56-5, 37 KO’s and was the first heavyweight champion to regain the title three times. He also moved the sport of boxing forward to levels it would not see again, until Mike Tyson came on the scene a few years after “The Greatest” retired.
