RSR Breaking News: Wladimir Klitschko Defends on December 11th Against Derek Chisora
RSR was just informed that IBO/IBF/WBO Wladimir Klitschko, 55-3, 49 KO’s, will be defending his titles in Germany against the unknown British heavyweight, Derek Chisora, 14-0, 9 KO’s. The question from all of boxing must be: “Who is Derek Chisora?” Good question.
Chisora stands 6 feet 1 inch, and comes into the ring at a muscular 245 pounds on average. His biggest wins came against a faded Danny Williams (KO-2) and Sam Sexton on two occasions (KO-6, KO-9). Other than that, his opponents have been less than extraordinary, but he does have some skills and assets that may help him come December.
Chisora keeps a tight defense and is aggressive. He is quick and stays low, which may present problems for Klitschko. He is not afraid to let his hands go on the inside, which he will have to do to have any chance of defeating the best heavyweight in boxing today. The problem that may and probably will hurt him is his technique. He is very sloppy when on the attack and sometimes drops that tight defense when he is chasing.
Although this isn’t the British heavyweight that we want to see tangle with Wlad, credit to the defending champion for continuing to stay active and take on an unknown entity that has some skills and power. Wlad will obviously be a huge favorite but it should be a fun fight none the less. Stay tuned to RSR for further details and more breaking news.
