NFL SHOCKER: Corruption May Decide Super Bowl 2015

It has to be a nail in the coffin for the NFL, as Dean Blandino is caught on board the Cowboys Party Bus. Why is that a problem? Dean Blandino is the NFL’s VP of Officiating. In a video aired by TMZ, has most of the NFL Clubs up in arms. The video shows Dean Blandino enjoying a night on the town with the owners, VP, and owners family of the Dallas Cowboys.

Fast Forward to the Lions versus the Cowboys for January 4, 2015, and the problem really comes to a head. Botched calls give edge to the Cowboys. In a play that drew pass interference flags against the Cowboys is the heart of the problem the Ref threw the flag, and the penalty was overturned. In an explanation of why, Pete Morelli, who spoke to Todd Archer, explains that the original foul was thrown by the back ref and upon consultation with another ref the penalty was overturned. The reason is that the front line ref claims that what occurred was not pass interference, but rather face guarding. Face guarding is not a penalty in the NFL, though it is in College Football.
