Oscar De La Hoya SHOCKER: Interview Brings to Light who is Tougher between Floyd Mayweather, JR and Manny Pacquiao
By Doctor Ibrahim Hussain
Oscar De La Hoya took time out today to deliver his verdict on who has the fastest hands out of his two Hall of Fame past living legend opponents, Floyd Mayweather, JR. and Manny Pacquiao.
In an interview with Boxingscene he recalls “It’s different [kinds of] speed. Mayweather is a guy who times you. He’ll throw a fast shot and boom. Mayweather will not throw a combination. He’s not that type of fighter. A three or four punch combination, he’s not that type of fighter, Pacquiao is.”
De La Hoya then went on to say “He’ll (Pacquiao) throw a four, five, six, seven punch combination and [throw it] fast. I would say, today, both guys might be the same. A few years ago, four or five years ago, I would have gone with Pacquiao. Both guys have slowed down a bit but both are still pretty quick. I would have to say they’re even.”
It has to be said that 5 division former World Champion faired much better against Mayweather than he did when he got blast around the ring by the Pacquiao who beat him into retirement.
Soon we will get to see, as they are close to signing a deal, which was always going to happen (whether they fight this year or next year when both could be free from all contracts). How could they refuse the richest fight in the history of Planet Earth!
