Manny Pacquiao – Floyd Mayweather, JR: The Ticket to Both Becoming All Time Greats

As many ponder and mentally damage themselves speaking up the possibility of a “Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather, JR.” match up I want to throw out a bone to be chewed on while we all wait. What is it exactly that makes these two so important? Well, the answer is simple, true boxing greatness is measure by the boxers ability to come back from defeat, their ability to maintain an unblemished record and their ability to have beaten the best around them. Both of these guys have done all of these things, without question. Pacquiao has fought the best and rebounded from defeats. Mayweather has fought the best and made some look juvenile in doing so while also keeping a spotless record.

Fighters like Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali and Marvelous Marvin Hagler have all been measured the same way and have surpassed these areas and they are considered all time greats.

But one additional area that fighters need to make them great and Mayweather and Pacquiao are so close to having and that is, a “Super Fight”. They both need this to happen in order to finalize their true greatness in the boxing realm.
