Rey Mysterio Contract Update – WWE News

The talks between WWE Superstar, Rey Mysterio, and WWE are close to being done and Mysterio could have his long wanted and official release from the company soon.

Mysterio’s plans after the WWE should become clear in the next few months. Mysterio has been rumored to be working on putting together multiple appearances elsewhere as promoters have been reportedly waiting for his release to make official announcements. It’s also highly expected that Rey Mysterio will begin to wrestle for the up and coming Lucha Underground promotion.

As of last week, Mysterio was rumored to already “have a release in hand”, but still had not signed it as some issues between he and WWE were still being worked out.

Hopefully, both parties can move on and not make this situation messier than it has to be.
