RSR Boxing Results: Vitali Klitschko – Shannon Briggs Outcome

WBC Heavyweight Champion Vitali Klitschko, 41-2, 38 KO’s, had no problem dominating the challenger and former WBO Heavyweight Champion, Shannon Briggs, 51-6-1, 45 KO’s, taking an easy decision. From the opening round, Klitschko landed the right hand over and over again from the opening round and on. Briggs could not find a way in and he didn’t blitz. He stayed on the outside and really showed no life. He showed a lot of courage but he took a vicious beating.
From the 7th round on, Briggs was hurt badly and it could have been stopped at any time. As the fight progressed, the beating got worse and Briggs got hit flush way too many times. The point for Briggs was to make it to the finish line, but the corner should have stopped it. Briggs took too much punishment and was not in this fight at all.
Vitali will now look forward to taking on Tomasz Adamek in his next fight.
