Brock Lesnar SHOCKING NEWS: Signs New Contract with WWE Likely to Alter WrestleMania Plans

Brock Lesnar in a recent interview on ESPN’s Sportscenter claimed that he signed a new contract with the WWE and is officially finished with MMA. The news was later confirmed by WWE COO Triple H on Twitter.

Lesnar re-signing with the WWE prior to WrestleMania is certainly to have an impact on the outcome of the Lesnar versus Roman Reigns match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship title this Sunday. If Lesnar was planning to go to the UFC, he would have lost the title. However, now that he is staying, WWE Creative is likely to alter its plans for the match. I have for some time been incredibly skeptical that Roman Reigns is capable of beating Brock Lesnar, despite WWE Creative’s obvious plans for a year now to have Reigns victorious at WrestleMania. A severe fan backlash, particularly since Royal Rumble, has prompted a level of desperation among WWE Creative to attempt to make a case that Reigns deserves the title (they have failed at that in my opinion).

Overall, with Lesnar now signed, this will certainly add more intrigue around the match. I would argue that Lesnar is now going to beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. While this may upset Reigns’ fans, it absolutely makes more sense to have Lesnar win. He is a better wrestler and Reigns is not ready. Even more intriguing is that in a recent promo, Lesnar mentioned The Rock, with some speculating that this is WWE Creative’s way of planting a seed for a future paper view match between Lesnar and The Rock. Despite The Rock being out of wrestling for some time, he really is one of the few that has the credibility to beat Lesnar in a match. I do not think anyone on the WWE roster right now is capable of beating Lesnar, so it makes sense that he retains the championship for the near future. Watch for a Lesnar victory this Sunday, and also watch for Seth Rollins to possibly cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
