WWE SHOCKER: Brock Lesnar Destroys Everything and Everyone on Monday Night Raw
By Nick “Red” Conley
During this last Monday Night RAW, WWE Creative certainly got creative with the post-WrestleMania storyline with Brock Lesnar and how he is dealing with “losing” the World Heavyweight Championship belt to the slithering Seth Rollins. This was exactly what was needed for the WWE to kick off RAW. For those of you who missed WrestleMania, after Lesnar and Roman Reigns beat each other until both were bleeding, Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and sneaked in a win by pinning Roman Reigns. On RAW, Lesnar was under the impression he would be having a rematch with Seth Rollins, only to have Rollins back out at the very end at ringside by claiming he was “jet lagged” and “tired.” Let’s just say Lesnar did not take that lightly. After chasing Rollins and getting in a few hits, close lining J & J Security as they intervened, destroying the announcer table, F5ing Michael Cole (who WWE is now saying is injured), and F5ing a cameraman twice, Stephanie McMahon came out and “suspended” Lesnar indefinitely for his actions. Lesnar was absolutely furious and refused to even listen to his manager Paul Heyman, who pleaded with him to stop the madness.
While WWE Creative regularly lacks creativity, ironically, this storyline was genius and a great way to have Lesnar deal with his “loss” at WrestleMania. By suspending Lesnar, this is WWE Creative’s way to keep Lesnar off TV for some time, probably due to the parameters of his new contract, and keep fans incredibly interested in the story line. Additionally, it allows Lesnar to come back with the same level of anger and intensity, whenever that may be. Lesnar’s character is now entering an unpredictable phase, and with a wrestler with Lesnar’s strength and intensity, anything can happen. We are unsure how long this “suspension” will last, but it could last until the next Pay-Per-View, which is Extreme Rules on April 26. I would be quite upset if Lesnar is off TV until SummerSlam on August 23. I would even say that it is likely we will have a triple threat match at Extreme Rules with Roman Reigns, Lesnar, and Rollins. This would be one epic match. At this point, no wrestler in the WWE is capable of beating Brock Lesnar in a one-on-one match, so if WWE Creative wants to keep the belt out of his hands, a triple threat match is the way to go. However, I for one think Lesnar deserves to remain the champion.
