While WWE Creative produced a lot of surprises at WrestleMania 31, one of the biggest was the appearance of UFC fighter and huge WWE fan Ronda Rousey and her in-ring confrontation with Stephanie McMahon. Prior to Rousey’s introduction, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson showed up to confront Triple H and Stephanie McMahon as they went on their typical rant on how they own everyone and solely responsible for the success of the WWE. When Stephanie began antagonizing The Rock, he walked over to the first row of the audience, and to everyone’s excitement, there was Ronda Rousey. What occurred next was a fun back and forth between The Rock, Rousey, and Stephanie McMahon in the ring. Rousey showcased some of her skills by tossing Triple H and putting Stephanie in a hold. The audience ate it up and clearly wanted more.
Unfortunately for us fans, this is probably it for Rousey with the WWE for the foreseeable future. Brad Slater from UFC Tonight stated that there were no further plans being discussed between Rousey and the WWE, and she is currently focused on UFC. This put an end to a tremendous amount of speculation that Rousey would make an appearance on Monday Night Raw or possibly even Extreme Rules or Summer Slam. Looks like her appearance at WrestleMania 31 was just a one-off bit of fun. There is some speculation that she could make an appearance at WrestleMania 32 next year. One can only hope, as who better could give it to Stephanie McMahon than Ronda Rousey?
