WBA and WBC Interim middleweight champion (whatever that means) Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, 33-0, 30 KOs stopped Willie “The Mongoose” Monroe. JR., 19-2, 6 KOs in the sixth round in a fight that saw a game challenger in Monroe, JR, try to do everything he could to win.

In other action:

WBC Flyweight Champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez, 43-0, 37 KOs destroyed a game former champion in Edgar Sosa, 51-8, 30 KO’s via a second round knockout. Gonzalez is a star and it warmed my heart that one of my all time favorite fighters Alexis Arguello, was part of his early development. He looks a lot like him in the ring for sure.
