WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder, 34-0, 33 KO’s made history when he faced Eric Molina, 23-3, 17 KO’s in the state of Alabama, which was the first time a world championship fight was held in that state. Wilder stopped Molina, who was a lot more game than folks thought he would be in the 9th round when the referee called a halt to the bout off of the final knock down even though Molina got up. It was a good stoppage.
